meddevo eIFU general Information
meddevo eIFU is a stand-alone module in the meddevo universe, developed specifically for managing and publishing product documentation such as Instructions for Use. It is not connected to the meddevo eTD app (for technical documentation) and can be used completely independently. For users of both apps, an automatic data transfer between these two applications is planned for the future, but is not yet available.
Upon first accessing the meddevo eIFU app, the application will guide you through five onboarding steps.
Getting started with meddevo eIFU centers around your product portfolio. You begin by importing or manually adding all of your company’s products into the system, creating a clear catalog that’s organized by categories to match your range. This makes it straightforward to keep an overview and to update your portfolio as needed, even in bulk—thanks to Excel import options.
Once your products are in place, you can upload all relevant documents for each item. This includes not only electronic Instructions for Use, but also certificates, safety data sheets (MSDS), declarations of conformity, and more. meddevo’s interface supports both single and bulk document uploads, so whether you’re adding a handful or hundreds of files, it’s fast and efficient to build your central document library.
To keep this process flexible and tailored to your needs, meddevo eIFU lets you define which types of documents you want to provide for each product. Set up the specific categories—like IFUs, certificates, or compliance statements—that apply to your business, ensuring every product has the right supporting files available online.
Once your products and documents are ready, meddevo eIFU helps you present them through a branded, public-facing portal. You can easily customize this portal by uploading your company logo and selecting brand colors, ensuring the document site matches your corporate identity. For even easier access, the system generates a unique QR code for every product. These QR codes can be placed on packaging, devices, or leaflets, allowing healthcare professionals and authorities to quickly reach the relevant documentation directly online.
Team collaboration is built-in: invite colleagues to manage documents, set permissions, and handle print requests directly from your dashboard. Users visiting your portal can even request printed copies of specific documents if needed, and all such requests are clearly tracked for processing.
The meddevo eIFU app can be purchased independently from meddevo eTD or in addition to it. The software is completely self service, purchase your access directly through our website.
meddevo eTD Users automatically have access to the free package of meddevo eIFU (covering up to 5 documents).
